ComicsPRO Annual Membership Meeting 2012




The next ComicsPRO Annual Membership Meeting will be held February 9-11, 2012 in Dallas, Texas.

 

KEYNOTE

The 2012 Keynote speaker is Mike Richardson, president of Dark Horse Comics, president of Dark Horse Entertainment and owner of the retail store chain Things From Another World. In addition to publishing and retailing comics, Richardson has also written comics, and through Dark Horse Entertainment has developed and produced projects for TV and film.

 

 

TOUR

After the ComicsPRO meeting is over on Saturday, you are invited to the Anne McGilvray Showroom Tour! The event and the ride on the bus is free, and attendees will be treated to show specials, snacks and other goodies.

 

LIVE AUCTION

The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund will be hosting a full bar and live auction on Friday, February 10th at 9pm in the Cypress room. Proceeds benefit the CBLDF's First Amendment work.

MEETING REGISTRATION LINKS

Retailers:
ComicsPRO Members and non-member retailers can register here. Save money if you register by December 31, 2011!  Retailer registration includes the "DC Day" on Thursday, February 9th as well as the ComicsPRO meeting on Friday, February 10th and Saturday, February 11th. Retailers can register to attend any time until the start of the meeting on Thursday, February 9th. (Late registrations may not receive a gift bag.)

HOTEL RESERVATIONS

The 2012 Meeting will be held at the Doubletree Near the Galleria in Dallas, Texas. Reserve your room by January 25, 2012 and get the preferential ComicsPRO meeting rate of $99/night. You can reserve your room online here.

ABOUT THE COMICSPRO ANNUAL MEETING


Join us for what has become one of the most important retailer gatherings in the industry! Retailers, publishers, distributors and vendors gather to discuss major industry issues and to develop ways to improve our market. All retailers, and all vendors interested in reaching comic book retailers, are invited. ComicsPRO members also use this meeting as an opportunity to discuss the organization's current projects and plans. Help plan the direction of your trade association, and get involved in the discussion that kicks off the industry's year at our Annual Meeting!

HOW CAN MY COMPANY PARTICIPATE?


Comic Book Stores:
Comic book retailers can register at the 2012 ComicsPRO Annual Meeting Event Registration Page. The registration fee is discounted for ComicsPRO members, but you do not have to be a member to attend! Attendees must be able to represent their company in votes and decisions during the discussion, so if you are a comic book store employee, the store owner must designate you as a company representative. Six meals are included in your registration fee, and all retailer attendees are presented with a gift bag of product donations from our sponsors!

Publishers, Distributors and other Vendors:

Publishers, distributors and other vendors interested in working with the industry's most progressive retailers are invited to attend the Annual Meeting as official sponsors. There are two sponsorship types: Basic Sponsorships and Meal Sponsorships. For Sponsorship information, click here.
